Life inside ‘house of horrors’ where ex-Millionaire Matchmaker contestant ‘drugged and raped women’

Michael Bernback, 65, a California businessman and one-time dating show contestant (pictured in a mugshot), denies raping any women

An alleged victim of a former reality television contestant said that he sexually assaulted her at his home which police described as a ‘house of horrors’ for her and seven other women.

Michael Leslie Bernback, 65, is about to go on trial on charges that between 2014 and 2015, he drugged and raped three women.

The Los Angeles Police Department says that Bernback victimized a total of eight women – and is asking more victims to come forward.

The LAPD on Thursday made one alleged victim, ‘Jane Doe,’ available to the press.

She said she met Bernback on a dating website, through which they chatted for two months, KTLA reported.

The woman told Bernback that there things she was not willing to do sexually, and that he understood.

‘Then I went to his house and the complete opposite happened,’ she said.

When she went to his home, she says Bernback slapped her and told her not to talk.

She then says Bernback sexually assaulted her even though there were two other women in the home.

The LAPD would not allow her to elaborate further. She said that the ordeal left her scarred emotionally.

Now she says she is homeless, has social phobias, no longer dates, and has lost her jobs and her friends.

‘He ruined my life,’ she said.

Police say there are eight victims that they know of, and they believe there are more who are afraid to come forward.

‘We are seeking additional victims who are afraid and who are ashamed to come forward to step forward now to help us end this,’ LAPD Lt. Jim Gavin said.

Police said the attacks took place on September 23 and September 27, 2014, and again on August 11, 2015, in Bernbacks' Sherman Oaks home

‘Please, you are not alone, we are here to help.’

Bernback is a former contestant on the dating reality show the Millionaire Matchmaker.

A wealthy California businessman who once boasted his net worth was more than $8million, Bernback was arrested in August 2015 on a slew of sex assault counts, including penetration with a foreign object, forcible oral copulation, rape of an unconscious person and attempted sodomy by force.

Police said the attacks took place on September 23 and September 27, 2014, and again on August 11, 2015, in Bernbacks’ Sherman Oaks home.

The alleged victims have been described as women in their 20s whom the former dating show contestant met online.

The criminal complaint against Bernback alleges he administered a controlled substance to one of the women and tied and bound another woman during an alleged attack.

However, according to court documents filed by Bernback’s attorneys, at least two of the women knew they would be engaging in anal sex or bondage with the 63-year-old millionaire after he reached out to them on a hook-up site.

During one sexual encounter, Bernback claimed that one of the women even allowed him to ‘urinate into her mouth’ while in the shower, stated the court papers cited by TMZ.

Bernback, who claims to be a founding members of the Chippendale’s dance troupe, was also charged with possession of party drugs MDMA, GHB and cocaine.

If convicted, Bernbeck, who owns a golf supplies store and produces his own records, is facing multiple life sentences.

He posted $2.1million bail.

Police have accused Bernback of messaging the women online before inviting them to his house.

Once they were inside, Berback is said to have subjected them to a harrowing ordeal involving drugs, BDSM and sodomy.

Cops are also warning that Bernbeck may have had other victims, and are encouraging anyone who may have been attacked to come forward.

Meanwhile, neighbors on Bernbeck’s street told of his playboy lifestyle, and said that he often invited young women into his house.

One resident reported seeing girls going into his property two or three times a week, with two going in each time. She added: ‘I was waiting for it to implode.’

When he took part in Millionaire Matchmaker, Bernback told host Patti Stanger about his desire for younger women, even getting into an argument with her when she suggested dating someone older.

He also boasted about having so much money ‘I can basically do what I want’ and invited cameras inside his plush home, the same home were the attacks are alleged to have taken place.

He also brags about having grown up poor and on food stamps, and claims to have flunked out of high school with a D, before graduating top of his class at UCLA.

Cops added that Bernback has a criminal record including drug possession and battery.
