Lionel Richie, 72, makes a rare appearance with girlfriend Lisa Parigi, 32, at the CMA Awards

They have kept a low profile since their relationship was revealed in 2014.

Yet Lionel Richie, 72, and girlfriend Lisa Parigi, 32 looked more smitten than ever as they attended the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday.

The American Idol judge and his longtime girlfriend put on a stylish display as she turned up to support Lionel who was hosting the show.

The music icon looked slick in an all-black ensemble at the biggest event in country music. 

He wore a long blazer coat which he paired with smart trousers and black shirt, completing he outfit with patent brogues.  

Lisa, who is 40 years his junior, stunned in a canary yellow floor length evening gown that nipped in at her waist and featured a small train at the back.

She wore her raven locks down in a soft curl and opted for a glamorous makeup palette of shimmery gold eyeshadow with a peach blush.

The Grammy winner joined his fellow American Idol judges to hand out the first award of the evening to singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton.   

Chris walked away with the most trophies at the 2021 CMA Awards on Wednesday night, but Carly Pearce and Luke Combs also stole the show as well.

He won Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year at the annual event, held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

The artist said in a speech, ‘Wow, okay. Thank you. Thank you very much. So many wonderful songs in here, I’m going to give it over to one of my heroes, Mike Henderson, who I have written more songs with than anybody in Nashville, Tennessee. This man knows how to write songs.’
