Presley made a point of expressing that she had since focused on the well-being of her other children.

The performer wrote that ‘not much else aside from my other 3 children gets my time and attention anymore.’

The singer then wrote a lengthy message about the forthcoming movie and praise both its director, Baz Luhrmann, and its star, Austin Butler.

Presley added that she imagined that Benjamin likely would have enjoyed seeing his grandfather’s story told on screen.

‘It breaks my heart that my son isn’t here to see it. He would have absolutely loved it as well,’ she said.

The songwriter shared Benjamin, as well as her daughter Riley, 32, with her former husband Danny Keough, and she also welcomed twin daughters Harper and Finley, aged 13, with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood.

The former couple, however, has remained close over the years since their divorce.

Following his death, it was revealed that Presley’s only son had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A spokesperson for the singer issued a statement where they noted via Deadline that she was greatly distressed by the loss of her son.

They stated: ‘[Presley] is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley.’

The spokesperson added that the singer ‘adored that boy. He was the love of her life.’
