Lisa Wilkinson announced her shock resignation from the the Today show on Monday night.

The 57-year-old shared the news that she would be commencing a senior hosting and editorial role, with Channel Ten’s The Project, as of January 2018.

Karl Stefanovic, 43, remained tight-lipped on his former co-hosts decision, when approached at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.

Karl was pictured in the foyer of the Four Season’s Hotel with girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough, 33.

The personality sported a dress shirt with several buttons left undone, black slim-fitting jeans, a suit jacket and black leather boots.

Karl remained tight-lipped following co-host Lisa’s shock resignation on Monday night.

The father-of-three engaged in conversation however with Jasmine, who cut an effortlessly chic figure in a black skirt, fitted jacket and embroidered slip-on flats.

The sighting comes shortly after Lisa took to Twitter, announcing her resignation from the Today show.

Lisa wrote: ‘I have some sad news. I’m sad to say that today was my last day on the Today show.’

The veteran journalist, married to author Peter FitzSimons, posted an official statement from Channel Nine, that read: ‘Today Show are disappointed we find ourselves in this position.

‘Nine will be going in another direction and will be considering our options in the coming weeks and months.’

And just an hour later, another announcement was made, both by Channel Ten and Lisa herself.

The rival network released an official statement that Lisa would be joining in a senior editorial and hosting capacity, as of January 2018.

The statement read: ‘Lisa will join the team of TEN’s award-winning news and current affairs program, The Project, in a hosting role. 

‘She will work alongside The Project’s hosts Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar, as well as hosting The Sunday Project.

‘Further collaborations between Lisa and Network Ten will be announced in the coming months.’
