Live Nation executive filmed up womens’ skirts

Andrew Macrae, 43, was a married man making £180,000 a year as vice president of Live Nation Entertainment

An executive who worked for the the world’s largest live entertainment company was a voyeur who filmed up women’s skirts as he commuted to work with a pen camera, a court heard.

Andrew Macrae, 43, was a married man making £180,000 a year as vice president of Live Nation Entertainment.

But in his sordid double life he collected over 49,000 perverted pictures using a gold-topped pen and filmed himself wearing women’s underpants.

Macrae concealed the pen in a laptop bag, which he placed on the platform and train floor between victims’ legs as he travelled from Redhill, Surrey, into London.

He was spotted using the device by an off-duty police officer on a train from Clapham Junction to London Waterloo last year, Inner London Crown Court heard.

Officers searching his house then found a hard drive containing hundreds of other images, including pictures of women living near his home.

He admitted seven counts of voyeurism and three counts of outraging public decency last year, making ‘full and frank admissions’ to all the offences.

The hard drive analysed by police contained a folder called ‘Project Voy’ and ‘Train’ and other sub folders titled with his victim’s names.

They were filled with pictures and films over a four year period, dating back to January 2013 up until the search on 19 July 2017.

One of his victims was a woman he knew from his job. Macrae secretly filmed her during a short meeting and then stole a pair of her knickers.

He filmed himself in the knickers and in one video he ejaculates over a pair of knickers on the floor.

Kate Blumgart, prosecuting, said: ‘A detective inspector was making his way to work on the Southern Rail train from Merton station to Clapham Junction.

She was blonde and wearing a light summer dress, in his right hand he was holding the straps to a black laptop bag

‘The train arrived at 7.15am and he left the train, changed platform to travel to Waterloo. His attention was drawn to Mr Macrae. He was standing on the platform edge near a woman.

‘She was blonde and wearing a light summer dress. In his right hand he was holding the straps to a black laptop bag which was on the bag just behind the legs of the female.

‘It was zipped up and a pen with gold trimming was fixed to the bag in a peculiar position.

‘The top of the pen was poking out of the bag. He was moving and appeared to be changing the angle of the pen.’

The officer saw Macrae get onto a train and perform the same manoeuvre behind a woman in a red dress.

He asked both Macrae and the suspected victim to get off the train. Macrae admitted: ‘Yes, it’s a camera’ in front of his shocked victim.

He was interviewed and admitted to filming up the women’s skirts, but said he had only started the behaviour ten days prior, when he had been on holiday.

He admitted he was filming up skirts for personal and sexual gratification and he intended to upload the films when he got home.

Macrae, who has since moved back to his parent’s home in Ludlow, Shropshire, admitted seven counts of voyeurism and three counts of outraging public decency.

He will be sentenced by Judge Jeremy Donne, QC, this afternoon at Inner London Crown Court.
