Liverpool are in the midst of filming a behind-the-scenes documentary covering the 2023/24 season.
Speculation swirled that Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge of the Reds would be tracked by cameras, but on Wednesday news was confirmed that fans will be treated to a ‘unique insight’ at the Merseyside club across a multi-episode season.
Klopp’s resignation will likely be a focus of the documentary, as will the club’s ‘rich history, its profond connection with its supporters’ and ‘first hand insights’ into both the men’s and women’s sides, as per a statement from the club.
The outgoing managed lauded the decision to film the documentary, and heralded the opportunity for fans to understand the ‘amazing people’ working behind the scenes at the club.
‘With this being my final season I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special – its people,’ Klopp shared.

‘From our fans to our players and those who work so hard behind the scenes, constantly in pursuit of success for Liverpool Football Club.
‘Thanks to this new documentary series viewers will be able to see what I see every day at this great club, and understand those amazing people more.’
The documentary is set to be produced, filmed, and directed by Lorton Entertainment, who previously worked on football documentaries ‘Diego Maradona’ and Steven Gerrad’s film ‘Make Us Dream’, as well as Disney+ series ‘Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story’.
Liverpool was previously the focus of a documentary under former manager Brendan Rodgers in 2012, titled ‘Being: Liverpool’.
But the club are no doubt keen to cash in on the new wave of interest in fly-on-the-wall documentaries prompted by the standout success of Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing’ series, ‘Sunderland Till I Die’, and ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.
