- Juventus have long-held interest in signing Emre Can from Liverpool in summer
- German’s contract is expiring with Reds and could make way for a compatriot
- Sami Khedira is part of negotiations and wants to play in the Premier League
Liverpool could sign World Cup winner Sami Khedira from Juventus during the negotiations for Emre Can.
The Italian champions have a long-held interest in Can who’s contract with the Reds expires at the end of the season.
And with the 24-year-old seemingly likely to leave on a free transfer, the Anfield club could bring in Khedira, according to the Sun.

Can has been linked with a move to the Italian champions and his contract is running down
The 31-year-old has been at Juventus since 2015 but as negotiations progressed with Can, Liverpool were made aware of the former Real Madrid man’s availability.
Khedira is a serial winner having tasted glory at the 2014 World Cup, triumphed in La Liga and helped the Bianconeri to the Scudetto twice.
His age might be a concern as Liverpool have favoured younger players in their recruitment in recent years, though central midfield is certainly an area Jurgen Klopp could look to strengthen.

And there is interest from Khedira too. He has previously spoken of a desire to play in the Premier League before he retires.
He told Sport Bild: I’m not thinking about my future right now, but one day I would like to win the Premier League. I only have one year left on my contract here and will be 32 next year.’
The Reds have already secured Naby Keita from RB Leipzig but will no doubt strengthen further should Can depart.
