A man has given a Facebook scammer a taste of their own medicine by inundating them with bizarre pictures online.
Tom Sheerin, from Liverpool, received a message from a profile claiming to be a woman named ‘Clara’ from Texas on Wednesday.
The scammer had started up a conversation by messaging Tom with her name and location, before adding ‘Baby, are you there?’
Tom replied: ‘Are you really the person in the picture? I’ve had so many messages from fake profiles… I hope you understand’.

He received a message from a profile claiming to be a woman named ‘Clara’ from Texas on Wednesday
The scammer started up a conversation by messaging Tom with her name and location, before adding ‘Baby, are you there?’
Immediately calling him ‘baby’, Clara replied with a picture of a semi-clad woman posing on a bed.
Responding wittily, Tom questioned: ‘All I see is a picture of a yellow VW beetle is that your car?’
In broken English Clara then replied: ‘ Smile. Baby you funny’, to which Tom feigned confusion, asking: ‘I don’t understand, are you trying to trick me? It’s a nice car but not what I was expecting’.
After exchanging dozens of messages, Tom shared the hilarious conversation to Facebook, with it garnering multiple comments from his amused followers.
‘Omg not again’, one exclaimed, referring to his previous exchange. Another added: ‘Savage!’ and one wrote: ‘I think you’ve found your vocation’.

Clara then pleaded with Tom to send the picture back, to which he shared a snap of an elephant
Not done with his jokes, Tom then said: ‘I have to go now to attend a toast emergency. I’ll be in touch soon. Was a pleasure, though confusing.’
Clara then attempted to take their Facebook messenger relationship to the next level, adding: ‘Okay baby I love you.’, to which he responded: ‘I love me too’.
