Liverpool mother shows off daughter’s ‘wild’ head of hair

She may be just three months old, but Jolee Shead’s incredible hair is already turning heads wherever she goes.

The adorable tot from Old Swan, Liverpool was born with thick, luscious locks and her mother Laura, 28, says people keep stopping her in the street to marvel at her daughter’s barnet.

The mother-of-two revealed: ‘She was born like this and we were shocked to be honest.

‘The hair did show up on the scans, so we expected her to have hair, but not anything like this – I couldn’t believe it.’

Laura, from Liverpool, is also mum to Riley, 10, who didn’t have anywhere near as much hair as Jolee when he was born.

She said: ‘It is so wild and I can’t really do anything with it. I wash it and it just sticks up everywhere.’

Jolee was born in Liverpool Women’s Hospital on July 10. Laura said she was taking all kinds of heartburn relief medication at the time and thinks that might have something to do with Jolee’s exceptional hairiness.

Laura was inspired to share pictures of her daughter after seeing an article about ‘Britain’s hairiest baby’ earlier this month.

She added: ‘When I take her out, people pull me all the time to see her. It can take 20 minutes to get to the sweet shop at the top of my road and back again.

‘It is just brilliant – I love her and am so proud.’
