Lizzo teases new single Rumors on Instagram and loses her clothes and a hoop earring in the process

She is a wildly talented entertainer on the cusp of releasing her first new music in two years.

And Lizzo gave her 11 million fans and followers on Instagram a significant tease of her new single Rumors on Friday, with a beguiling clip in which she lip-synched and danced to the song.

The Soulmate songbird, 33, started the clip off in a magenta and blue filigree patterned button down top, along with large silver hoop earrings.

Baring it all: Lizzo gave her fans and followers on Instagram a significant tease of her new single Rumors on Friday, with a beguiling clip in which she ‘lost’ her clothes

Toward the end, however, the body-positive star turned around against the wall, and the clip jump cut to her in nothing but a black tube top and thong.

The skimpy outfit left nothing to the imagination as Lizzo turned and showed off her backside to the camera.

As she turned her head back around, one of her earrings fell off, before she approached the camera with mock shyness and disbelief.

As for the song itself, it felt like classic Lizzo, with pointed and slightly meta lyrics rapped to a mellow piano proclaiming:

‘They don’t know I do it for the culture, godd**n, They say I should watch the sh*t I post, oh godd**n, Say I’m turning big girls into hoes, oh godd**n, They say I get groupies at my shows, oh godd**n’

In the caption, the Grammy winner wrote cheekily: ‘OHHH GAHDAM… I WAS TRYIN TO GIVE YALL A TEASER OF “RUMORS” BUT I ENDED UP JUST BEIN A TEASE’

The post comes days after Lizzo, who recently delivered a TED Talk on optimism, dropped a visual in support of the new Rumors track earlier this week.

In the glam post, the Truth Hurts songstress revealed she’s welcoming a ‘new era’ while announcing the new release, out August 13th.

The Detroit native was glowing in the promo art for the track, appearing decked out in a gold and bejeweled bustier and dramatic jewelry as she held a heavily ornamented finger up to hush her fans.

Lizzo, born Melissa Viviane Jefferson, commanded attention in the ultra glamorous garment, which featured intricate beads and a Grecian-looking mask on the front.

Her skin looked golden under the spotlight, which illuminated her flirty cat eyes, deep blush, and liner-heavy pout.

Continuing the allure, the star flutist and singer wore her raven hair silky smooth and parted in the center and let it cascade down her back sleekly.
