The co-pilot of this F15 E Strike Eagle posed for a photo on their phone in the cockpit, showing the lengths some will go to for the perfect selfie.

Photographer Paul Davidson, 46, from Coventry, took the snap in the Mach Loop in Snowdonia, Wales, while jet spotting.

The United States airforce personnel is a Weapon Systems Officer at the back of the cockpit who was not flying the plane.

Paul said: ‘I didn’t see the WSO using the mobile phone at first. 

‘It wasn’t until I got home and viewed the photo on my computer that I saw they were using the handset.’

The F15 E Strike Eagle is an American fighter jet designed in the 1980s and has been deployed for military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. 

The plane model, which made its first flight in 1986, is an advanced long-range fighter jet and tactical aircraft, which doesn’t rely on escort or electronic warfare aircraft. 

More than 1,500 F-15s are in service worldwide for the US Air Force, US Air National Guard and the air forces of Israel, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
