Lorde dazzles in underwear exposing mesh dress

She’s recently been linked with Lena Dunham’s ex Jack Antonoff.

But 21-year-old Lorde went solo on her red carpet appearance at the Musicares Person Of The Year gala at Radio City Music Hall on New York on Friday.

Also at the star studded event that this year honored Fleetwood Mac was former US President Bill Clinton, 71, Jared Leto, 46, Keith Urban, 50, and Lisa Loeb, 49.

The New Zealand born songstress wore a dress with a black mesh upper half over a sequined bra.

The bottom half of the dress was sheer so as to give a clear view of the Royals singer’s slim pins. 

The Green Light hitmaker wore her wavy brunette tresses untied and cascading over her shoulders.

The two time Grammy award winner has recently been embroiled in dating rumors with her friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff who just split from Lena Dunham.

And Lorde opens up about her special relationship with the Bleachers singer in a new interview with Billboard, explaining that their bond has stood the test of time after working on music together.

The 21-year-old songstress explained: ‘We still FaceTime almost every day. When you work with someone, you sometimes think, “Maybe it will just be for this time, and we say we’re going to keep in touch but we won’t.”‘

Lorde worked with the 33-year-old producer on her album Melodrama, on which Antonoff helped write 10 of the songs.

Despite their strong bond Antonoff felt compelled this week to deny it’s anything more than friendship with the New Zealand born beauty.

Taking to Twitter he wrote: ‘Normally I would never address rumors but I resent having the most important friendships and working relationships in my life reduced to dumb hetero normative gossip,’ he wrote. ‘Those relationships are deeply important and sacred.’

Also in attendance was Suicide Squad star Leto, decked out in a distinctive all white ensemble.

Channeling the Bee Gees, the 30 Seconds To Mars front man paired a white jacket over an unbuttoned shirt and white trousers paired with matching shoes.

He contrasted the white look with his long, dark wavy tresses and bushy black beard.

The husband of Nicole Kidman paired the look with jeans and dusty motorcycle boots.

The Blue Ain’t Your Color crooner went solo on the red carpet.

They have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful bands of all time.

Of course there were more modern acts on hand as well for the big night.

Miley Cyrus, 25, took the stage in a glittering black jumpsuit which she left unbuttoned at the top.

Fellow pop sensation Harry Styles, 23, formerly of One Direction, also ended up on stage and belted out a song for the star-studded crowd.

Rockers Imagine Dragons were also present at the event.
