She teamed the look with a pair of high-waisted black trousers and wore her long locks out and around her face.

Last month, Lorde revealed that she had become more confident in her body.

‘The trend of having the midriff out has coincided with me being completely obsessed with getting my abs out,’ she told Vogue Australia.

She explained she wanted a brief moment of silence to perform the hit, but the rest of her concert saw her and her devoted fans ‘singing and screaming together’.

‘I just woke up,’ Lorde said as she wore a sleeping eye mask.

‘I just wanted to talk about this thing of me shushing people at my shows. That was something that I did on that one song a couple times when I wanted to sing it acapella and/or off the microphone so people could hear me and because I wanted to try something different.’

She added that the rest of the show was filled with noise and she urged fans not to ‘stress so hard’.

‘If you come to my shows, you know it’s an hour-and-a-half of all of us singing and screaming together. Also that dramatic-ass move was literally for an album called ”Melodrama”, so don’t stress too hard. Bye.’

In the viral clip from one of her 2017 concerts, Lorde is heard shushing the crowd during the chorus of Writer in the Dark as they tried to sing along.

‘She really said ,”who sings this song? Lorde? Okay let’s keep it that way,” one fan wrote on one TikTok video.

‘They way they all instantly obeyed tho (sic) lol,’ another added.

Lorde is set to perform across the U.S., Canada, UK and Europe on her world tour.
