Lorna Jane Clarkson reveals what she eats at Christmas

Millions around the world will be waking up to a decadent day of eating today.

However, for those who business is the fitness business, it’s important to refrain from over-indulging too much.

With this in mind, FEMAIL spoke to activewear queen, Lorna Jane Clarkson, to find out exactly what she plans to eat this Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The 53-year-old multimillion-dollar-business owner also offered a sneak peek inside her festive fridge ahead of the day’s festivities.

For Lorna – whose daily diet is usually filled with fruit, vegetables and lean protein – Christmas Day is no exception.

The 53-year-old told FEMAIL that her Christmas Day with her family it’s all about the salads:

‘My salads are always a hit with the family on Christmas Day,’ she explained. ‘I honestly feel a little pressure to better the ones from the year before.’

She said that today she’ll be ‘whipping up a Buckwheat salad with pomegranate, pecans and orange’, as well as a ‘super green salad with roasted carrot, pistachios and pine nuts.

‘I’ll also make my extra special rocket, pear and Parmesan salad with balsamic dressing,’ she added.

Lorna said it’s also ‘traditional that I make a signature Christmas bliss ball – which finds me working on it weeks before to perfect the recipe and asking anyone who visits my house to taste it’.

‘This year, we will be having macadamia, cacao and cherry – which I’ll be rolling in homemade chocolate and macadamia nuts the night before.’

Finally, Lorna said that because she’s from an English family, she’ll also do ‘traditional Christmas foods as well – like roast turkey, Christmas ham, rum balls and my mother’s traditional English trifle (but alcohol free just like when we were kids).’

When it comes to Boxing Day, Lorna (pictured with her partner) explained that she's straight back on the wagon - while she will indulge for one day, she won't for two

When it comes to Boxing Day, Lorna explained that she’s straight back on the wagon:

‘If Christmas is at my house, I will always send leftovers home with the family and if it’s at someone else’s house, whatever we don’t eat on the day is theirs,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘There is no dining on leftovers after Christmas, because once Boxing Day comes around I like to get back on track with my eating.

‘I love indulging with my family but tend to keep this just for Christmas Day. The only leftovers you’ll see me snacking on are any cherries that weren’t devoured on the day, and maybe one of my Christmas Bliss Balls if there are any left, which is not very often.’

This isn't the first time Lorna has let people in behind her fridge - in 2015, the 53-year-old showed off her very organised contents and labelled Tupperware boxes (pictured)

On Sunday night, Lorna Jane Clarkson shared a snap of the contents of her festive fridge – ahead of Christmas Day morning.

From watermelon to pomegranate, cherries, kale, natural yoghurt and salmon fillets, it’s a far cry from many’s fridge – and, like the woman herself, very healthy.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Lorna has let people in behind her fridge. In 2015, the 53-year-old showed off her very organised contents and labelled Tupperware boxes.

The fridge was stocked with containers that had name and date labels attached, including ingredients such as chickpeas, smoked salmon, rocket, quinoa, roasted eggplant and kale.

A number of juices were also on display, tabbed as ‘immune’, ‘energy’ and ‘beauty’.
