Lorry ploughs into traffic lights at busy intersection

The dramatic moment a large white lorry ploughed sideways into traffic lights on a busy road with static cars was caught on a driver’s dash cam.

The astonishing crash came out of nowhere as motorists waited for the red light to turn green.

Drivers miraculously escaped death as the quick-movers fled out of harm’s way but a motorcyclist in front landed a disastrous blow.

A large lorry was seen ploughing into traffic lights at a busy intersection, forcing the pole to rip out of the ground and fall on a female biker

The video catches a car crawling to a stop as it reaches the red lights, with three cars at the front of the large intersection.

Two men can be seen sitting at the back of the jeep in front of the dash cam.

After a few minutes waiting for the light to turn green, two motorcyclists can be seen, with one turning his head towards the empty road on his right.

Merely five seconds after the second motorcyclist pulls up just below the lights, the lorry crashes in.

What appears to be a female biker in front of him is crushed under the weight of the traffic lights which disastrously fall on her.

It is unknown whether the biker survived, but most seemed to escape from the wreckage as seen on the 50-second clip.

The lorry, flipped on its side, came at a thunderous speed, hardly allowing drivers enough time to make an escape

As the weight of the smashed lights overpowered the motorcyclist, other motorists were seen trying to escape.

Some got out of their vehicles to inspect the situation.

No one was seen attempting to get out of the lorry and it is unknown what caused the crash or if there were any deaths.

The traffic lights were uprooted imminently, falling on to the motorists at the front, one of whom seemed to be a thin-framed woman

In a matter of seconds the traffic lights disappeared into the ground, taking the biker with it, as smoke fumes engulfed the area
