Lotto jackpot hits $40million after five weeks without a winner

Lotto jackpot hits a massive $40million – as a surprising amount of players say they WOULDN’T quit their jobs despite winning big

  • The Oz Lotto jackpot has increased to a staggering $40 million for Tuesday
  • It comes after there’s been no division one winner announced in five weeks
  • Last division 1 winners were in June, two Queenslanders winning $40m each

Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto jackpot has increased to a staggering $40million after the prize remained unclaimed for more than a month.

The increase comes after a winner wasn’t found for the second time in a row when the Oz Lotto jackpot was at $25million last week.

The jackpot is one of the largest offered by Oz Lotto since 2016.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart told Daily Mail Australia that he was standing by waiting to announce the next Oz Lotto millionaire.

‘We know that many Aussies have already begun dreaming how they’d spend $40 million if they took home the Oz Lotto prize this week,’ he said.

A surprising number of Australians – almost 20 per cent – said they would keep their jobs even if they won the massive jackpot.

The huge prize comes after two Queenslanders won the last division one jackpot in June.

A mother from Ipswich and a man from the Sunshine Coast, who both remain anonymous, won $40million each in June.

Last month, the $110 million Powerball jackpot was split into three ways after winners claimed the division one prize in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales – each taking home a total prize of $36,666,666.67.

‘This is going to change so many lives! I was definitely not expecting this phone call!
