Love Island 2022’s reunion kicks off as the islanders come together once again

This year’s love Island contestants came together once again on Sunday for the reunion show as Davide Sanclimenti finally got to see exactly what Ekin-Su Culculoglu had been up to in the villa, as he was shown footage of her crawling onto the terrace with Jay Younger.

And even more drama unfolded between Casa Amor girls Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe, as they became embroiled in a heated exchange over Josh Le Grove.

But fans were left unimpressed, taking to social media to brand the show ‘awkward’ and ‘dry’. 

Turkish actress Ekin-Su famously crawled out onto the terrace to sneak a kiss with Jay while being coupled up with Davide.

And as host Laura Whitmore questioned whether Davide had seen the moment, the Italian replied that he hadn’t, as Ekin-Su attempted to cover his eyes.

After watching the moment, a slightly red-faced Jay was left giggling with his head in his hands.

While Ekin-Su and Davide took it well – with the Italian slightly cringing, before confirming that they had moved on from it.

After Coco recently appeared on podcast Saving Grace, where she made it known she had rejected a sexual advance from Josh as they left the villa.

And it appears Summer, who has been on dates with Josh since leaving the villa, wasn’t happy with the comments.

But still keen to get the last word, Summer continued: ‘I would never fight over anybody because I don’t see any competition’

While Coco argued ‘Josh is my mate,’ before the heated conversation was once again cut off by Darren.

But despite the dramatic moments, viewers took to Twitter to display their disappointment with the reunion, branding it ‘boring’, ‘awful’, and ‘dry’.

‘You can just tell none of the islanders want to be there, this is so bad,’ wrote one.

 While another quipped: ‘Everyone boutta fall asleep in the studio’.
