Episode 18 of Love Island ended with the threat of yet another dumping, as the villa’s strongest couple hit the rocks after a racy kissing challenge.
Hours after dropping the ‘L-bomb,’ Shaq and Tanya’s romance was plunged into crisis, as he accused her of being ‘disrespectful’ by passionately kissing the other boys…. leaving her admitting that his behaviour ‘gave her the ick.’
For one couple, it was the end of the road as Olivia and Spencer agreed that there was no spark between them, but for another roots were planted, as Jessie friendzoned new bombshell Casey to stay loyal to Will Young.
And, in a surprise twist, the entire villa noted an unexpected chemistry between Tanyel Revan and Ron Hall, despite the pair insisting that they are just ‘best friends.’
So, as viewers prepare to bid farewell to one male Islander after the first public vote of the series, here is everything missed from episode 18 of Love Island.
Drama! Episode 18 of Love Island ended with the threat of yet another dumping, as the villa’s strongest couple hit the rocks after a racy kissing challenge
TANYA AND SHAQ HIT THE ROCKS
Shaq was furious when he learned Tanya had won the villa kissing challenge, after earning the highest scores from the boys with her passionate smooches.
He quickly accused her of being ‘disrespectful’ with her steamy displays of affection, which didn’t go down well with Tanya and other girls in the villa.
In the episode, each of the girls were tasked with kissing the blindfolded boys, each earning a score out of 10.
While Tanya earned a perfect score from her man Shaq, her kissing skills were also praised by Ron Hall and Kai Fagan, who each gave her nine points.
It was then revealed that Tanya earned the highest score in the challenge, leaving Shaq noticeably unimpressed.
He asked Ron: ‘Am I overreacting?’
And as word reached the girls, and Tanya, that Shaq was annoyed, she said: ‘If there’s one thing that will give me the ick, it’s this. It’s not that deep. That’s so petty’.
She went onto add in the Beach Hut: ‘I would think that a guy would impressed that his girl won the challenge, and everyone gets a taste of what he gets everyday, every minute in bed, but instead, it’s the other way round.’

‘It was so long I had to look away’: ‘Best friends’ Ron Hall and Tanyel Revan left their fellow islanders feeling ‘uncomfortable’ after sharing a steamy kiss
RON AND TANYEL’S ‘UNCOMFORTABLE’ KISS
Love Island saw the islanders get steamy with one another on Thursday as they got stuck into a kissing challenge.
But some smooches left the singletons feeling uncomfortable, as Tanyel got hot and heavy while locking lips with Ron Hall, with the rest of the villa watching on.
The pair are currently coupled up as friends, but left the islanders questioning whether it was more than that as they appeared very passionate.
Ron’s romantic interest Lana Jenkins admitted: ‘I actually had to look away, It went on for so long,’ as pal Olivia Jenkins confirmed: ‘It made everyone feel uncomfortable’.

While viewers also took to social media to insist that there was more than a friendship going on between Ron and Tanyel, as one shared: ‘You don’t kiss ya mates like that’.
Chatting in the beach hut, the Hair Stylist explained: ‘I kissed Ron because he’s my best friend and I felt comfortable enough to do that’.
But after watching it second-hand, Olivia wasn’t convinced as she told the beach hut: ‘That kiss between Ron and Tanyel lasted a little bit too long’.
And the latter then grabbed Lana, who is romantically involved with Ron, for a chat to warn her of the potential connection.
‘I feel like, I just want to tell you, how I felt watching that because I know you’d do the same for me,’ began Olivia.
She continued: ‘Watching Tanyel and Ron kiss, I think it made everyone feel a bit uncomfortable. I don’t know, I don’t want to put anything into your head but it’s like the boundary you cross when you’re best mates with a boy.
‘But, I want you to make your own judgement. I’m just saying because I love you, what I saw.’

Debriefing: ‘I feel like, I just want to tell you, how I felt watching that because I know you’d do the same for me,’ began Olivia
Lana then agreed, replying: ‘No, I appreciate it. Yeah, to be honest, It got that long that I looked away’.
The kiss didn’t go unnoticed amongst fans either, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts that there was more than friendship between Tanyel and Ron.
‘Defo more than friendship with Tanyel n Ron,’ wrote one fan.

Just friends: Defending herself in the beach hut, Tanyel explained: ‘I kissed Ron because he’s my best friend and I felt comfortable enough to do that’
As another tweeted: ‘Hang on didn’t tanyel say she mostly gets with men who are her friends before? And didn’t she just say she feels comfortable kissing ron because he is her bestfriend in the villa . hmmm’.
‘I can’t lie. I didn’t believe Tanyel when she said she doesn’t like Ron like that,’ echoed a third.
While one user added: ‘Tanyel definitely has feelings for Ron but is scared to pursue it.’
Many fans even compared the situation to one from season two of the dating show, which saw Olivia Buckland and Rykard Jenkins have a late night fumble under the covers, despite only claiming to be close pals and pursuing other romantic interests.

‘She’s a keeper!’: Love Island fans also praised Jessie Wynter as she instantly friendzoned new boy Casey and stayed loyal to beau Will Young
JESSIE COMMITS TO WILL
Love Island viewers were impressed with Jessie Wynter as she remained fiercely loyal to partner Will Young.
The Aussie beauty was invited out on a date with new bombshell Casey O’Gorman, but made sure to make it clear where she stood.
Resisting temptation, Jessie straight away told the new arrival that she was only interested in partner Will – but offered to help wingwoman Casey with other romantic connections in the villa.
And as she made her position clear, fans raced to Twitter to praise her actions, as one declared that Will had found himself ‘a keeper’.

Not a vibe: Resisting temptation, Jessie straight away told the new arrival that she was only interested in partner Will – but offered to help wingwoman Casey with other romantic connections in the villa
‘OK I respect Jessie – everyone else always says “oh im not married off yet” or “the door is still open” – nope, she said we will make great friends and i’ll be your wing woman’ RESPECT FOR HER HONESTY’.
Casey was given the opportunity to speed date three girls as he and fellow bombshell Jordan got to know their fellow islanders.
He chose Lana Jenkins and Olivia Hawkins for the first two, before inviting Jessie for the final date.
But giving partner Will a kiss before heading to the date, Jessie immediately got to the point with Casey – telling him that she was only interested in getting to know him on a friendship level.
And taking to Twitter, one viewer shared: ‘Will has a keeper there as Jessie was quick to help a brother get another girl instead of putting herself out there’.
‘I love how quick Jessie shut it down with Casey. The way she did it was nice as well. Maybe she does actually really like Will,’ added another.
While a third added: ‘All I can say is I am so glad Jessie said Will is basically her man’.

ONE CATCHPHRASE HAS LEFT FANS CRINGING…
During Thursday’s episode, Ron Hall was seen putting more effort in with Lana Jenkins to win her back after his head was turned several times.
The pair cooled things off last week and since then, Ron has been getting to know new girl Samie Elishi, while Lana has turned her attention onto bombshell Casey O’Gorman.
But it was clear that Ron regretted his decision as he was doing everything to get back in Lana’s good books, including making her breakfast before Casey got the chance.
