Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk is attacked by a bee

Sophie Monk made her return to TV screens on Sunday night as the host of Love Island.

And the bubbly blonde was seen desperately crying for help after spotting a bee on set, in hilarious footage this week.

Taking to Instagram after the show, the former Bachelorette shared a short clip in which she could be seen panicking over the flying insect.

‘Why is no one saving me?’: Love Island host Sophie Monk desperately cries for help after spotting a bee on set in hilarious video while filming the racy show

At first she is seen reading lines while filming a promo.

‘Join me in Spain, let the love stories begin,’ she starts, standing on the deck of a luxury villa.

‘Love Island Australia is coming up,’ she finishes, blowing a kiss to the camera.

After the introduction, however, things appear to go haywire.

She appears frantic with flailing arms.

‘Argh… The weird thing,’ she says.

‘Can you not see that, why is no one saving me?’

She self-described ‘bogan’ then appears to swear, as her words are bleeped out.

At this point, a number of crew members come over and start to shoo the bee away with their clipboards.

What was that? Oh my god,’ she is heard saying.
