Firefighter Michael, 28, had been weighing up his options as he admitted he was torn between main villa squeeze Amber, 21, and newcomer Joanna, 22.
After careful deliberation, he appeared more certain than ever before as he discussed his decision with the group, moments before Amber’s return to the main villa.
Alongside host Caroline Flack, Michael said: ‘The last few days have been quite interesting, they’ve opened my mind to a few things. I’ve come to the realisation that I haven’t been true to myself.
‘I’ve bitten my tongue when I wouldn’t usually. She’s brought out the Michael that everyone knows and loves, she’s stunning and funny. She doesn’t take herself to serious. I want to couple up with Joanna’, he ended his honest speech.
Seconds later, Amber looked shocked as she walked into the main villa alone, only to see her love interest with another girl.

Michael left his pals stunned when he shared a steamy kiss with recruitment consultant Joanna on the day beds earlier in the episode, confessing she had made him feel ‘more like myself’ amid his rollercoaster romance with Amber.
During a cosy chat, Michael told Joanna: ‘I’ve come back into being myself just from you being here. You being here and being around you has made me more like myself.’
Sending the stunner strong signals, the handsome couple eventually engaged in a racy kissing session. With Amber still on his mind, he admitted in the Beach Hut: ‘Amber is an unbelievable girl but it’s the little things that are playing on my mind at the minute.

Meanwhile, Curtis, 23, decided to recouple with Amy, 27, after admitting he’d pair up with Vogue model Jourdan, 23, while the flight attendant was away in Casa Amor.
Hinting at their issues, Curtis told the group: ‘A young lady [Jourdan] walked into the villa and made me rethink things… I realised I’d been lying to Amy. I hope this will make us stronger than ever before. From now on, I’m going to be 100% truthful to both Amy and myself.’
And it appears Amy is set to discover Curtis’ secret romance with Jourdan in Wednesday’s upcoming episode, as she rages: ‘I was coming back to tell you I loved you!’
Earlier in the episode, Amy confessed her feelings for her partner, while Curtis shared a steamy kiss with popular new girl Jourdan.
In Casa Amor, she dropped a bombshell of her own and confessed to Molly-Mae Hague that she is, in fact, in love with Curtis.
She said: ‘Before I left the Villa, I had started to have an inkling that I might love Curtis. He’s my absolute favourite person and I thought I loved him before I came away but then I thought, I don’t actually know what love is. Do I just really like him?’

In love: In Casa Amor, she dropped a bombshell of her own and confessed to Molly-Mae Hague that she is, in fact, in love with Curtis
‘How do you know when it crosses over into love? Being here and not being able to contact him, not being able to see him has been so gut wrenching for me. I’m like, this is love, 100 per cent. I never thought it would happen to me.
‘He’s my half boyfriend and my best friend rolled into one. I don’t think I’m going to tell him though, I’m happy with my little secret that I know I love him.’
He definitely didn’t have the blonde on his mind back in the main villa though as during a game of beer pong, he was dared to kiss the person he fancies most – heading straight for Jourdan.
Despite putting all his cards on the table, Jourdan kindly ‘friendzoned’ him as they engaged in a candid conversation to see where their heads were at.
Encouraging him to recouple with Amy, she said: ‘Be loyal to the situation you have now. I need you as a friend, I think it would be the better thing to do. I’m getting to know Danny, and I shared a bed with him. You have a deeper situation than I do.
A defiant Curtis put up a fight as he insisted while affectionately tapping her leg: ‘Don’t think about my situation [with Amy]… I think you’re stunning and a smart person.’
In the Beach Hut, Jourdan admitted: ‘I admire Curtis’ courage to take the biggest leap, but I genuinely hope it works out for him. I feel so so bad! I’m sorry.’
‘Telling Amy is going to make her feel second best. I hope it makes us stronger than before, but it might break us’, Curtis also confessed in the Beach Hut.
Amy and Curtis, who have been described among fans as the new Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, were the first couple to become exclusive on the series, having shared their first kiss on day four.
On day eight, the pair spent a night in the hideaway, where Curtis asked Amy whether she would like to be his ‘half-girlfriend’.
Meanwhile, Danny decided to couple up with Jourdan after the pair engaged in a steamy kissing session in bed on Monday’s installment of the dating series.
On Jourdan, he gushed: ‘One girl did stand out to me pretty early on. She brings the best out of everyone around her. She has this energy about her that I haven’t really seen before’.
He was branded a ‘snake’ by viewers when he sent Yewande, 23, home to be in a relationship with Arabella, 28, only to be left heartbroken when the model was booted from the villa.

And while things seem to be on the up for Maura, the show’s latest rejects Dennon, Dan and Stevie, both 21, have expressed their doubts over Marvin’s intentions with Maura.
In a post-villa interview, footballer Dennon claimed Marvin is playing a game during his time in the villa: ‘Everyone knows what I think. I’m not sure he would be with her on the outside.’
Student Stevie added: ‘I think Marvin changed strategy half way through. I didn’t think he liked Maura. I think he realised this was a way for him to get in. He’s a lovely bloke but I definitely saw a change in direction.’
