Love Island: Michael Owen is keen on a face to face with ‘decent fella’ Luca Bish

EXCLUSIVE ‘He will definitely want to meet him’: Michael Owen is keen on a face to face with ‘decent fella’ Luca Bish after forcing himself to watch daughter Gemma’s raunchy Love Island antics

Michael Owen thinks Luca Bish seems like a “decent fella” – but will wait to give his final verdict once he’s met him.

The former England and Liverpool ace has only been watching daughter Gemma’s journey on Love Island “now and then” admitting tuning in can be a “tough gig”.

Instead, he’s been relying on updates from wife Louise who has been watching every night and helping to keep Gemma’s social media up to date.

A source said: ‘As any dad will understand Michael isn’t exactly enjoying seeing Gemma’s love life play out on screen! There’s things a dad doesn’t need to witness…

‘He’s seen a few of the episodes and from what he’s witnessed he thinks Luca and the other guys on the Island seem like pretty decent fellas.

‘But if Luca ends up officially going out with Gemma he will definitely want to meet him and make up his own mind on the guy. Any father would.’

The source added: ‘He has been relying on Louise to keep him up to date with what’s going on.

‘He’s proud of how well Gemma is doing and knows how level headed she is and that she won’t do anything she’s not comfortable with.’

Michael might have to get used to the cameras being around his family.

As Mail Online revealed last month, TV producers are interested in signing wife Louise up for the Housewives of Cheshire.

And, according to separate reports, Gemma, 19, is being linked to her own reality show once she leaves the Island.
