Love Island PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Sherif Lanre seen for FIRST time since being kicked out of the villa

Sherif Lanre has been seen for the first time since being kicked out of the Love Island villa.

The chef, 20, who was booted out of the ITV2 reality show on Tuesday after just nine days, appeared downcast as he was spotted arriving back to his mum’s house in south London on Wednesday evening.

Trading in the sunny climes of Majorca for the British capital’s rainy weather, Sherif covered up with a low-key ensemble to keep the chill at bay.

Stepping out: Sherif Lanre, 20, has been seen for the first time since being kicked out of the Love Island villa

Sherif, who was joined by his mother Diana Rollanson-Williams in the car, swapped his swim shorts for a pair of skinny black denim jeans and black trainers.

He added to the look with a navy hoodie atop a simple white shirt, as well as a black baseball cap and dark-tinted shades.

Following a tough week, Sherif failed to raise a smile as he hopped out of the vehicle.

Keeping his head down, Sherif, who only a few days ago was forging a romance with Anna Vakili, 28, quickly made his way indoors.

The chef was kicked out of Love Island after just a week and a half and was edited out of Tuesday night’s episode, aside from a very brief glimpse of him with his pharmacist partner Anna.

And since his departure, speculation has reach fever pitch with social media users going wild over theories regarding his sudden axe.

‘The show is reserved for dumped Islanders and Sherif left under unforeseen circumstances.’ MailOnline has contacted ITV2 for comment.

The claims come after Sherif appeared to jokingly reveal that he’s set to jet off on a lads’ holiday to Makarska, Croatia after being kicked off Love Island.

The singleton took to his Instagram stories to share a news article which had his exit in the headline, he added a meme which said: ‘Looks like Makarska’s back on the menu boys.’

It comes as viewers urge Love Island bosses to reveal the real reason why Sherif was axed.

Fans are concerned that producers’ decision to keep the reasons for his departure a secret could be making things ‘worse for him’ as the rumours circulating on social media could be more extreme than what really happened.

Others have commended Love Island bosses for protecting the rugby player, saying that they know best and the decision could actually be ‘safeguarding’ him.

Aside from a brief mention from Iain Stirling that Sherif would no longer be on Love Island, he only appeared on the show for a split second on Tuesday.

Anna also barely featured after being coupled up with him up until he left the show.

Twitter was awash with wild rumours about what could have happened with Sherif, with theories ranging from smuggling his phone into the villa, spending alone time in the shower, an escalating row with co-star Anton Danylu to even using MORSE CODE.

Speaking about his exit in a statement to MailOnline on Tuesday, Sherif said: ‘In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
