Love Island’s Amy Hart had newborn son Stanley checked at the doctors following fan’s concerns

‘He’s very lucky to have so many people looking out for him’: Love Island’s Amy Hart reveals she had her newborn son Stanley checked at the doctors following fan’s concerns

Amy Hart revealed that she got her newborn son Stanley checked at the doctors after concerned fans sent her messages.

The former Love Island star, 30, explained that some of her followers had been worried about the ‘blue tinge’ around the corners of his mouth.

She had previously shared a photo of him in his Moses basket to her Instagram and followers expressed their concern over his slightly darkened lips.

Sharing an update to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Amy said Stanley was ‘very lucky’ to have so many people looking out for him and added that he was ‘fine.’

Amy wrote: ‘Lots of you messaged last night about the blue tinge around Stanley’s mouth in the video of him in his Moses basket.’

She continued: ‘Lots said it could be trapped wind, some said it could be cyanosis which could have been more serious.

‘We got him checked out and all fine. He’s very lucky to have so many people looking out for him so thank you.’

Cyanosis happens when there’s not enough oxygen in your blood, or you have poor blood circulation.

It can be caused by a serious problem with the lungs, like asthma or pneumonia, or airway issues like choking or croup, and even heart problems such as heart failure or congenital heart disease.

Amy welcomed Stanley, her first child, with boyfriend Sam Rason earlier this month.

The couple, who have been together a year, gushed over the newborn with Amy saying they were both ‘so so in love’.

After announcing his birth, she wrote: ‘Well…. 4 days of contractions at home (which everyone told us were braxton hicks…they weren’t), 4 very short hours in the delivery suite and 5 long days in hospital later, we are home with our dreamy baby boy!

‘Born at 3.31am on 3/3/23 weighing 8lbs with the most beautiful head of hair (Amy would take the 9 months of reflux again) and we are so so in love. Proper introductions to come but now we’re home safe and sound.’

‘Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes. We really appreciated it over the last few days. [here’s a few delivery room snaps, can’t wait to show you his beautiful, non post birth swollen face!’

She also shared a sweet snap of Sam holding their bundle of joy as he did skin to skin with him.

Messages of congratulations flooded in from the likes of fellow Love Island alum Olivia Attwood, Shaughna Phillips and Liberty Poole.

Amy announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Sam on an episode of Loose Women back in August 2022.
