Love Island’s Jack Fincham has become ‘obese’ since dating Dani Dyer

Love Island’s Jack Fincham reveals he’s become medically OBESE since getting together with Dani Dyer because of her love of takeaways

He branded himself a ‘normal’ guy in the midst of all the gym buffs with six packs in the Love Island villa last year.

And Jack Fincham has been warned he’s now in the ‘obese’ category because his BMI (body mass index) has gone up since getting together with girlfriend Dani Dyer, who is always suggesting takeaways.

The 27-year-old reality star admits his visit to a nutritionist has been a real ‘wake up call’ and has vowed to lose weight.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Sport Get Inspired, Jack said: ‘It’s strange because when you think of obese you think of someone who can’t move. But I can go on a run – I’m fit.

‘I put on a bit of weight. I’ve never been fat, I’m not fat now, but I was just a bit slow.’

‘There have been times when I should probably get in the gym but if Dani goes, “Shall we get a curry and stay in and watch a film?” I have to think about what’s more interesting,’ he said.

BMI, or body mass index, is one way of measuring whether you’re a healthy weight for your height. While it isn’t always accurate, it can be a useful guide.

Jack admits it’s definitely harder to stay fit and healthy when you’re ‘coupled up’ and he’s more likely to skip the gym in favour of cuddling up with Dani on the sofa.

‘Happy Sunday from the 2016 me … #sixpackjack Throwback Sunday’, he captioned the snap of himself showcasing his six pack and bulging arm muscles.

Jack and Dani are the last couple standing from the 2018 edition of Love Island, which saw them win the £50,000 prize money.

On Monday, Zara McDermott, 22, confirmed her split from Adam Collard, 23, after eight months of dating.

The former government adviser told her Instagram followers she is ‘heartbroken’ to have parted ways from the personal trainer, after ‘trying so hard to make it work’ – but hinted she ‘just wasn’t enough’.

Love Island viewers took to social media to blast the show, branding it a ‘farce’ and to ponder over the ever-growing fan theory that couples who leave the show in a relationship have a ‘six month dating contract.’

The public backlash comes after a string of recent contestants announced break-ups in quick succession – including Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson, and Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley.

A spokesperson for Love Island vehemently denied the ‘six month contract’ claims, when approached by MailOnline, stating: ‘That’s simply not true’.
