‘I’m such a hypocrite’: Love Island star Olivia FINALLY admits her reaction to Kai’s recoupling was unjustified after she found a new partner herself

Love Island star Olivia Hawkins has finally admitted her reaction to Kai’s recoupling was unjustified and explained her Movie Night antics on Sunday night.

Olivia, who was recently dumped from the villa along with new partner Maxwell Samuda, was fuming after Kai got together with new Casa Amor arrival Sanam Harrinanan, even though she had partnered up with someone new herself.

Returning to the main villa, she gave Kai a piece of her mind, and said: ‘It’s very telling, it’s very telling. I can’t say I’m shocked.

‘Missing me already? Clearly not enough, his loss, my gain.’

Speaking on Aftersun with Maxwell in their first interview after the couple were axed, she said: ‘Let me just say, I’ve watched that clip back and I put my hands up: I’m such a hypocrite.

Speaking out: Love Island’s Olivia has fianlly admitted her reaction to Kai’s recoupling was unjustified when she appeated on Aftersun with Maxwell on Sunday

‘In the moment it’s so intense. Emotions are high. There were real feelings there.

‘So when I walked through those doors I was so nervous to come back with Maxwell. I’m just happy that me and Kai have sorted it all out.’

She also spilled the gossip to Maya Jama after the explosive Movie Night, which saw her true colours revealed.

Footage of her film Liv Actually showed her forgetting Kai’s name and badmouthing the girls, which left the fellow Islanders shocked.

She said: ‘Early days. I forgot his name, Kai. No, because it’s like new scenery.’

Other comments included telling Max that Claudia had forgiven Casey too quickly for kissing other girls during Casa Amor.

But a determined Olivia remained completely unbothered and reacted to the videos at the time by telling the others: ‘No, because it’s nothing I wouldn’t say.

‘If you’ve got any questions, come to me after.’

People were confused as to why her badmouthing was not discussed during the show but she revealed on Aftersun that she had already spoken to her co-stars before Movie Night happened.

She said: ‘On Movie Night, none of the girls reacted because I told them previously that day that I thought they forgave the boys way too quickly. I wouldn’t do anything differently.

‘I feel like I stayed true to myself all the way through.’

It comes after Love Island viewers joked that Olivia will break up with Maxwell at the airport after both were dumped from the villa following the public vote.

Previously the ring girl was said to be playing a game in the South African villa as she coupled up with Maxwell in Casa Amor ditching Kai.

She was long dubbed as the shows ‘villain’ and fans could not wait to see Olivia leave the show.

Olivia and Maxwell had received the news that they were heading home on Wednesday night, after host Maya Jama waltzed into the villa for a dumping.

Viewers now can’t wait to see how long the pair stay together before splitting up.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
