Love Island’s Ron Hall admits he ‘feels unemployed’ as he discusses the imposter syndrome of being thrust into the public eye

He managed to bag second place during this year’s Winter Love Island after finding love with girlfriend Lana Jenkins on the show.

But Ron Hall has admitted this week that life in the public eye isn’t one he is a big fan of as he adjusts to his new career since leaving the series.

The former financial adviser, 25, admitted that he has given up his corporate profession and now ‘feels unemployed’ since swapping to to one in content creation.

‘I almost feel unemployed. But 24/7 working, your brain doesn’t switch off,’ he explained in a new Youtube video.

Revealing that the newfound fame is a ‘weird feeling’, the reality star opened up about his future plans.

Answering fans’ questions in a new video, Ron explained that his ‘new job’ is content creating on social media and influencing.

But it’s not one he’s too familiar with, as the star admitted that he ‘never in a million years; envisioned himself creating a YouTube channel or working in the public eye.

Explaining that he is struggling slightly with the change in jobs, he reached out to fans for help in terms of what they want to see.

And describing it as feeling ‘unemployed’ but constantly working all at the same time, Ron shared: ‘Your brain just doesn’t switch off’.

‘Anyone who has tried to film a TikTok or anything like that, for me, this is my new job or life now, your brain has to constantly think of ideas. My brain does not work that way – I am not that creative.’

But looking to get stuck in, Ron added that he was keen to create videos and content with girlfriend Lana.

‘I wanna try to push the boat out as much as I possibly can, some mad content. So give me your ideas,’ he shared.

He added: ‘Frankly, I just don’t know what i’m doing. I’m meeting people who are really helping me at the moment’.

Ron and Lana scored the second place title after pal Kai Fagan and his girlfriend Sanam Harrinanan took the crown.

And since leaving the villa, the islanders have been thrown into a life in the spotlight – attending VIP events, A-list premieres and parties.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline this week, the Love Island finalist, who is based in Essex, discussed his future plans with Manchester-based Lana after he previously made it clear that he will not be moving up North.

He admitted despite ‘only spending six days apart’ since leaving the South African villa, he aims to ‘buy his own place’ before they commit to living together.

Ron confessed: ‘I struggle to be apart from her. We’ve only spent six days a part since coming out.

‘Our end goal is to move in together but at the minute we want to be able to buy our own places and then eventually move in together.’
