The former Coronation Street star, 27, bundled up in a black trench coat and donned a white baseball cap as she stopped at a cafe with her friend.

Lucy carried her essentials in a Gucci bag tucked into the bottom of her pram as she chatted to her pal while strolling down the street.

She opted for a cosy white hoodie under her long coat as she and her friend settled down outside a cafe, before heading to a shop nearby for some retail therapy.

It comes after Lucy revealed that she and Ryan had named their baby boy Sonny Jude.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, Lucy spoken out for the first time since giving birth to share details of new life as a family of three.

Revealing the reason behind her son’s name Sonny Jude, Lucy jested that it wasn’t so meaningful – just one that she and Ryan could agree on.

‘I kept adding names to a list. I liked a lot of names that Ryan didn’t. Some were a bit out there, like Fox. But as the pregnancy progressed, we were calling him Sonny,’ she explained.

Lucy and Ryan were both left ‘sobbing’ as they let out tears of joy following the birth, which was induced on doctor’s orders.

She was monitored throughout her pregnancy after being classed ‘high risk’ because of her heart-shaped uterus – with the extra scans showing that Sonny had reduced movement, which led to the advisal of an induced labour.

Opting for a ventouse birth, rather than a forceps delivery or caesarean section, she had to have an episiotomy during the labour, which is a cut in the perineum.

Revealing that she could see it all happening, the actress shared: ‘I tried not to look – it was like a crime scene, it was freaking me out. There were loads of tissues soaked in blood. The stitches are the part you don’t prepare for.’

She continued to explain that despite being in baby bliss during the first few days of motherhood, she was also in a lot of pain following the procedure.

Ryan, who plays as a midfielder for Preston North End, dubbed his girlfriend a ‘machine’ as he admitted that he didn’t think he could go through what she has.

With Sonny almost a month old, the new parents have settled into family life and routine already, admitting that they can’t remember a time without him.

‘We can’t really remember life before Sonny – it feels like a blur,’ shared Lucy.

While they appear to be naturals, the couple aren’t too sure about expanding their brood anymore just yet.

Admitting that they are ‘just in the moment’, Lucy explained that she and Ryan haven’t spoke about baby number two, but didn’t appear to be ruling it out as she added a ‘yet’ on the end.

After returning home from the hospital, she took to Instagram to reveal the joyous baby news to her 543,000 followers.

Beaming with Sonny in her arms and Ryan alongside her, the actress penned: ‘Our beautiful boy. 30/01/2023.’

Lucy announced her pregnancy in September 2022 but admitted the experience was tinged with anxiety as she had sadly suffered a miscarriage earlier that year.
