Lulu, 73, leaves fans marvelling at her age-defying looks as she poses with Drag Queen Lawrence Chaney for glam backstage snap

Lulu gave Drag Queen Lawrence Chaney a run for their money in the glamour stakes when they met backstage on tour. 

Lulu, who turned 73 in November, has previously appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race Uk as a judge and caught up with Lawrence during the show’s live tour at the London Palladium. 

Looking glamorous in her black mascara and faux fur wrap combined with a black jacket and black jeans, the diminutive Lulu who stands at five foot one looked as fresh faced as ever.

Fans couldn’t believe it as they commented that the Shout star looked years younger, asking Lawrence what filter was being used for the picture. One said on Twitter: ‘No offence but she looks younger than you!l 

Someone else added on Instagram: ‘I cannot believe how great she looks for 73! I need the number of her surgeon.’ 

Another ventured: ‘She’s 73 years old that’s some f***ing fabulous filter! Lulu is also an auld wifie!’ 

And whilst other commented she looked 30, or like ‘one of the Olsens’, a fourth said: ‘Lulu looks about 14! Fabulous!!’

Good sport: One follower quipped that they needed the number of Lulu’s surgeon, prompting the singer to reply: ‘I can brush up really well’

Lulu shared the same photo to her account, gushing in the caption: ‘I was reminded about how uplifting this gang were during lockdown … Brilliant show and finally met Lawrence♥️.. well done to cast of @dragraceukbbc live at the Palladium.’ 

Lawrence continues on the Drag Race tour and recently met Dawn French in Portsmouth where the two also posed backstage.  

Lulu recently hit the headlines when she revealed that she is suffering from long term COVID after contracting the virus in January 2021.

Speaking to The Herald in August, she said ‘I was lucky’ I didn’t get a bad case of it where I had to go to hospital. 

‘But there have been repercussions. I still get a bit tired. Sometimes it will just hit me. And I have a little bit of a cough and a slight case of asthma.

‘And to add to that I have a propensity to be a bit chesty. It’s always been in the family. Now, I think I have a mild case of long Covid.’
