Luxury home complete with swimming pool, stables and cinema on sale for £1.9million

A Scottish couple who spent £9million transforming a 14th-century castle into a five-star hotel have now put up their own luxurious family home up for sale.

Steve Timoney and Alison Reid-Timoney’s Georgian property boasts a 40-foot air-conditioned swimming pool, bar, cinema, stables and a hot tub for eight, all of which is available for the cool price of £1.9million.

The B-listed mansion near Glasgow also has seven acres of land and even a treehouse, complete with electricity, that would give many London studio flats a run for their money in terms of space.

Bothwellpark House, which is on sale with Knight Frank for offers over £1,875,000, is situated in a private position on the edge of Bothwell just north of the River Clyde but is only 10 miles southeast of Glasgow city centre.

Designed by Scottish architect James Playfair, the house was constructed in the late 18th century with two symmetrical wings added in 1991 and 2006, the year in which it was bought by the Timoneys.
