The new property, sitting on 1600 square metres of land, is set to feature a series of maid’s rooms, a Chinese garden, a spiral staircase and an en suite accompanying all six of the bedrooms.

A cinema, home gym, a pool, along with several dining and living areas will make up the rest of the house with balcony access to observe the harbour-side views across the three-storeys.

An emphasis on greenery is still included in the sprawling estate with large trees and flowing vines out of garden beds planned for the mansion.

The current estate, known as Ngarita, was originally built for businessman Sir William Vicars who lived in the home for 30 years before it was sold off in 1956 for $850,000.

According to Domain, it was purchased by a company owned by serial fraudster Stephen Larkin, who was later jailed for blaming others for 62 traffic offences.
