A child sex offender has been sentenced to jail for exposing himself while secretly filming children at a string of fast food restaurants and playgrounds.
Niaz Ahmed Ali, 59, was caught indecently exposing himself in front of a 12-year-old girl at a McDonald’s in Perth’s south last January.
He secretly filmed the girl at the fast food restaurant through hiding his phone camera inside a take-away box.

Following the McDonald’s incident, police appealed members of the public to come forward if they had seen the man committing similar offences in other fast-food outlets.
Police found that Mr Ali had been preying and filming children at several fast-food chains, playgrounds and shopping centres across Perth from 2014-2016,9News reports.
He was found guilty of indecent dealings with children under the age of 13 and committing child sex offences in a public space.

Mr Ali has served 16 months of his four-year prison sentence.
His wife and adult daughter were also present in court during his sentencing.
