Miserable At First Sight: MAFS 2020 brides break down and scream at each other in trailer …as star Amanda Micallef sobs when her dad is unable to attend her same-sex ceremony

Married At First Sight looks set to delivery many more unhappy endings in 2020.

An extended trailer for the show’s seventh season, which premieres on February 3, shows many of the brides breaking down and screaming at each other.

Whereas in previous seasons it takes a while for conflict to take control of the group, it appears the upcoming offering should be renamed Miserable At First Sight.

In the promotional video, strength coach Amanda Micallef, owner of Melbourne business Divine Physiques Coaching, is in tears from the very start.

The brunette is one half of the show’s first ever lesbian couple, but is left devastated after her father is unable to attend her TV wedding, filmed in September.

‘You know dad couldn’t come, right?’ a family member is heard telling Amanda.

Stood in her bridal gown, Amanda then became distraught, sobbing to the camera: ‘You just want your parents there on your wedding day, you know?’.

Prior to her wedding, Amanda was filmed sitting down with the relationship experts.

‘I want my future bride to be proud to be with me,’ the beauty told John Aiken.

Wollongong bride Poppy Marie appeared to regret signing up for the controversial social experiment half-way through her TV wedding.

‘I feel guilty, I’ve left my kids to do this,’ she said, while tearing up in her dress.
