MAFS 2023: Jesse catches wife Claire hooking up with another groom

A cheating scandal is about to rock Married At First Sight.

Claire Nomarhas, 31, who is unhappily married to picky groom Jesse Burford, was caught kissing Adam Seed on a boozy night out in scenes set to air this week.

Adam, 35, is partnered with beauty influencer Janelle Han, who has expressed concern about his job status and earning potential.

Sources say the drama reached boiling point when Jesse, 30, confronted Adam and called out his unfaithful wife, who was seemingly unfazed by his anger. 

‘Jesse had suspicions that Claire and Adam were secretly seeing each other and was fixated on trying to expose them,’ the source claimed.

The kiss happened in front of several co-stars at a pub in Sydney’s CBD after a group of them went out to watch the footy.

‘Jesse was livid when he found out what had happened,’ an insider said. ‘He and Claire had already been having a few problems, but this took things to a whole new level’ 

‘Claire and Adam were all over each other the whole night, so it wasn’t surprising to be honest… They said they were just going out for a vape. She and Jesse were pretty much done by this point,’ said an onlooker.

While marriage celebrant Jesse’s relationship with kindergarten teacher Claire has been rocky from day one, fans will be surprised by Adam’s behaviour because things seemed to be going well for him and beauty influencer Janelle – despite their initial bickering about money and careers on their wedding day.

Adam is said to have ‘pressured’ Claire to keep their one-time hook-up a secret, and told her he would deny it if she ever brought it up.

‘There was nothing to it really. It was a drunken kiss and he [Jesse] was trying to turn it into something it wasn’t,’ a source said.

Meanwhile, Jesse was apparently ‘humiliated’ by Claire’s behaviour and wanted to leave the experiment.

Daily Mail Australia understands producers were ‘fuming’ about the incident and responded by enforcing an 8pm curfew for all cast members.

‘They weren’t angry that it happened. They were just p**sed off it didn’t happen with cameras around,’ one participant said.
