A Married At First Sight bride burst into laughter when her husband bizarrely thought they’d been sent a letter from Audrey Hepburn.

Hepburn, a star of Hollywood’s Golden Age, has been dead since 1993.

Thursday’s episode saw newlyweds Caitlin McConville and Shannon Adams arrive at the Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast for their honeymoon.

After checking into their suite, Shannon read a letter congratulating the couple on their wedding day.

The beginning of the letter included a quote by Hepburn, which read: ‘Love is the best investment, the more you give, the more you get in return.’

Shannon read the quote aloud before asking his wife: ‘Did Audrey Hepburn write this to us?’

Caitlin laughed in disbelief and responded: ‘No, I think she’s dead.’

‘Oh is she? God bless her,’ Shannon said before continuing to read the letter.

The personal trainer later told producers his connection with Caitlin was blossoming and things were going well.

‘Me and Caitlin, we are getting along really well. She’s ace to talk to. It’s not really a struggle, she’s great,’ he said.

This isn’t his first time Shannon has been recruited by Channel Nine.

He previously appeared in the 2018 Love Island Australia commercial alongside host Sophie Monk.

In 2019, he competed against the likes of Love Island’s Maurice Salib and Lochie Carey for the Manhunt Australia Male Model of the Year title.

He was also just eight-years-old when his acting career began and he has starred in TV shows such as Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Rush.
