MAFS brides at war! Evelyn and Melinda awkwardly avoid each other at Logie nominations

EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight brides at war! Evelyn Ellis and Melinda Willis awkwardly avoid each other at Logie Awards nominations amid talk ‘they are no longer friends’

MAFS brides Evelyn Ellis and Melinda Willis were at the center of a tension-filled encounter at the Logie Awards nominations breakfast on Monday.

Despite forming a close friendship during filming, it was apparent that the one-time friends are no longer on speaking terms.

Melinda, 33, refused to pose for photos alongside her co-star, who attended the event with her boyfriend Duncan James, 37, according to an eyewitness.

‘[Evelyn and Melinda] were on opposite sides of the room and purposely avoiding each other,’ claimed the spy.

‘It was very awkward as photographers were expecting them to pose together since MAFS was up for two awards.’

Sources have since told Daily Mail Australia that Melinda and Evelyn ‘haven’t spoken to each other for weeks’, a surprising twist given their close bond on the show.

The insider also claimed that Evelyn was ‘disappointed with certain things Melinda said about her relationship and about Duncan.’

‘It’s sad, Eve thought they were really good friends…’

Further fuelling the drama, MAFS sweethearts Ollie and Tahnee, who were also present at the event, remained puzzled by the unfolding feud, choosing to stay out of the controversy.

It comes after the Gold Coast beautician accused Evelyn and Duncan of ‘only dating for the hype’, implying that their romance was less than genuine.

‘I feel like in the beginning, you know, maybe they didn’t realise it was going to be like a real relationship. Maybe it was more like a bit of a hype, then it turned into a real relationship. That’s all I’m going to say,’ she told Heat World last month.

Willis also recently took a shot at Duncan, telling her followers that his last words to her were, ‘Alyssa did not deserve that edit’.

A rep has since downplayed a feud between the brides and claimed that Evelyn and Duncan were busy mingling with guests and didn’t realise that group photos were being taken.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Evelyn and Melinda for comment.
