MAFS’ Charlene and Matty attend a ‘swingers party’ together, denies they’re a couple

This week, Married At First Sight’s Justin Fischer and Ashley Irvin followed in Tracey Jewel, Sean Thomsen, Carly Bowyer and Troy Delmege’s footsteps to become season five’s latest ‘partner swap’.

Now, Matty Lockett and Charlene Perera have sparked rumours they’re the fourth pairing to find love with a cast mate they weren’t originally matched with.

Instagram went into meltdown after the duo attended a ‘swinger’s party’ on Tuesday night, before documenting their rather flirty exchange in the car ride home.

‘Another partner swap?’ MAFS’ Charlene and Matty attend a ‘swingers party’ together… before DENYING they’re in a relationship after fans questioned their ‘flirty’ chemistry

Matty triggered the speculation with his first post, showing the pair sitting next to each other in a car, grinning from ear-to-ear as they posed with their car keys.

‘Dinner party 57, bring ya keys! #swingers #afterparty #tuesday #winkparty,’ the reality star captioned the snap.

Their decision to show off their keys appeared to imply they attended a ‘key party,’ but Matty later confirmed to Daily Mail Australia this was ‘just a joke… nothing more to it.’

According to Urban Dictionary, A key party is ‘A couples party where all of the men put their car keys into a bowl at the end of the party, (then) the women blindly select a set of keys to determine who they go home with.’

During most ‘key parties,’ the man who owns the keys identifies himself to the woman who drew them, then, if both parties agree, they go home to have sex.

Several fans noted in the comments that these parties are usually attended by couples attempting to spice up their relationship by sleeping with different people.

The same fans put two and two together after Matty and Charlene shared footage of their very flirty exchange on the car ride home.

In the Instagram video, Matty filmed himself from the passenger seat, announcing: ‘just doing my next car caraoke with the wonderful Charlene.’

He then drew a huge laugh from his driver by making reference to allegations recently made by online trolls who claim she ‘hates men.’

‘Just trying to prove that she DOESN’T hate all men,’ Matty quipped, as they both burst into laughter.

‘She doesn’t! She doesn’t!’ Charlene joked from the driver’s seat.

‘She hates a few of us,’ he added with a grin, before Charlene looked at him longingly add replied: ‘not you!’

They then took part in an extremely cute – but excessively cringeworthy – karaoke duet of Aretha Franklin’s ‘I Will Survive.’

Several others made similar comments, all referencing the two other MAFS couples who ended up with one of their cast mate’s matches after the show.

However, when Daily Mail Australia reached out to Matty for comment, he claimed the catch-up was: ‘just mates having a joke, nothing more to it.’

Charlene was matched with Patrick Miller on the show, while Matty couldn’t make things work with his ‘wife’ Alycia Galbraith.
