MAFS: Duncan fronts the experts alone as his wife Alyssa storms off in tears

Duncan fronts the experts alone as his wife storms off in tears in a sneak peek for the emotional MAFS commitment ceremony: ‘Where is Alyssa?’

This Sunday’s MAFS commitment ceremony is set to be an explosive one, as tensions reach boiling point with just a few weeks left of the experiment.

Duncan James, 36, and Alyssa Barmonde, 35, were one of the strongest couples at the start of the season, but cracks have started to emerge in the last two weeks.

In a trailer for the next episode, things hit rock bottom as Alyssa storms out of the room, leaving her husband to face the experts on his own.

The sneak peek opens with expert John Aiken explaining the couples have only two more weeks left to decide whether or not they want to make their relationship work in the real world.

It then cuts to Alyssa bawling on the couch as she rattles off all the things that have gone wrong in her once-fairytale marriage.

Duncan tries to comfort his wife by giving her a hug, but she shouts, ‘Please don’t,’ and storms out of the room.

He follows his bride into the corridor, but she won’t stop to talk to him.

Looking hopeless, he buries his head in his hands before returning to the experts alone.

‘Duncan, where is Alyssa?’ sexologist Alessandra Rampolla asks, and he is seemingly unable to answer.

The trailer ends on that cliffhanger before focusing on Claire Nomarhas and Jesse Burford’s crumbling relationship.

Their marriage never recovered after Claire kissed another groom, Adam Seed. Jesse wanted to leave the experiment after her betrayal, but she wanted to stay.

Expert Mel Shilling observed that while the couple seemed to be getting back on track after the scandal, things appeared to ‘have shifted’ again.

Jesse bluntly says, ‘Claire cheated on me,’ having apparently made up his mind to leave the show – regardless of his wife’s wishes.
