MAFS’ Jessika Power’s Christian family condemn her ‘disgusting affair’ with Daniel Webb

‘This is not your morals, this is not how you were brought up!’ Married At First Sight bride Jessika Power’s Christian family condemn her ‘disgusting affair’ with Daniel Webb

The Christian faith teaches it is a sin to steal, covet and commit adultery,

And following her clandestine ‘affair’ with married man Daniel Webb, MAFS bride Jessika Power’s deeply religious family have been left less than impressed.

‘My family are, you know, very – they come from a very Christian background and they were watching it back just going, “Jess, come on, like this is not you”,’ the aspiring model told Today Extra on Monday.

‘This is not your morals. This is not how you were brought up and they went where’s our parenting gone?’ she added.

Jessika went on to admit she felt ‘disgusted’ after watching herself on the show, but insisted that her on-screen persona doesn’t accurately reflect what she’s like in real life.

Several of Jessika’s family members were featured on MAFS this season, including her heavily-tattooed stripper brother Rhyce.

Jessika’s former boxing champion father Troy also famously labelled his daughter’s ‘husband’ Mick a ‘f**kwit’ during a heated on-screen showdown.

But it’s not just Jessika’s family who were left outraged by Jessika and Daniel’s tryst.

On Sunday night, thousands of Married at First Sight viewers signed a Change.org petition to boycott the show over the ‘affair’ and the experts’ decision to allow  Jessika and Daniel to stay in the experiment.

The hashtag ‘boycottMAFS’ also quickly began to gain traction on Twitter on Sunday after Jessika and Daniel came clean about their romance at the commitment ceremony.

During the bombshell episode, Jessika’s ‘husband’, Mick Gould, 31, was reduced to tears while Dan’s ‘wife’, Tamara Joy, 30, also broke down after the pair confessed to ‘cheating’.

The ‘cheating’ pair did the press rounds on Monday, first making their way to the KIIS FM radio studios in Sydney, followed by Nova, the Today show and lastly Today Extra.

Married At First Sight continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on Nine.
