‘I’m sorry that I couldn’t give you what you needed!’ MAFS’ Lauren Huntriss and ‘former virgin’ Matthew Bennett LEAVE the experiment… after he confessed he was not attracted to her

Matthew Bennett and Lauren Huntriss have become the first couple to leave this year’s season of Married At First Sight.

The 29-year-old ‘former virgin’ and the 31-year-old make-up artist unanimously decided to part ways during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony, with their decision drawing stunned gasps from their co-stars.

‘I’m sorry I couldn’t give you what you needed,’ Matthew told a tearful Lauren, after she overheard him saying that he was not physically attracted to her.

Last week, the couple clashed over their differing attitudes towards sex.

Matthew had only lost his virginity to Lauren on their honeymoon, before she revealed she was sexually adventurous and experienced in the bedroom.

Matthew explained during the commitment ceremony: ‘She wants someone who wants to have their hands all over her, who can’t get enough of her, who wants to tear her clothes off and throw her into bed, and I was finding that quite confronting because I wasn’t having that urge and I was feeling just lost, especially, given the fact that I’m new to all of this.’

Lauren confessed that she overheard Matt making similar claims to his male co-stars during last week’s dinner party.

The blonde said at the commitment ceremony: ‘I can’t force Matt to be attracted to me. I can’t force any of this. I just wish Matt had have spoken to me in private. That’s all I ask for’.

She added: ‘This isn’t something that you discuss with a group full of people you barely know.’

Lauren then revealed that she felt that Matthew may have ‘used’ her in order to lose his long-held virginity.

‘I feel like s**t. The thing that pisses me off the most is that Matthew was a virgin coming into this, and, to me, when you lose your virginity to someone, you have to surely be sexually attracted to them,’ she said.

‘We did that [had sex] and I just feel used because I feel like, was he just doing it to have that experience for the first time?’

Matthew steadfastly denied he would go to the efforts of ‘marrying’ someone simply to have sex, saying: ‘There are apps for that!’
