MAFS rejects ‘should be avoided’ says Aussie party planner

A Queensland-based party planner has opened up about the best and worst ‘D-list’ celebrities to work with – and his answers may surprise you.

Andrew Meadowcroft, who runs the boutique PR agency Squirrel House on the Gold Coast, revealed that reality TV stars are usually the worst kind of celebrity to work with due to their oversized egos and ‘spoiled’ attitudes.

Speaking to the Gold Coast Bulletin, Andrew singled out Married At First Sight rejects as the worst offenders, saying that some of them ‘are to be avoided at all costs.’

‘They have been spoiled and catered for so much’: An elite Gold Coast party planner has revealed the best and worst reality TV rejects to work with

‘They have been spoiled and catered for so much during filming and on the promotional circuit,’ he said of former reality TV stars.

‘(And) once the show is over and they are spat out with little or no support or funding they keep their attitude and their egos which are simply not justified.’

It’s unclear which MAFS contestants Andrew was referring to, but many of the dating show’s most famous faces hail from Queensland and Brisbane.

'Some Married At First Sight leftovers are to be avoided at all cost,' said Andrew Meadowcroft, who runs the boutique PR agency Squirrel House on the Gold Coast

Bella Frizza, Cheryl Maitland, Nadia Stamp, Michael Hughes, and Nicole Heir are just some of the MAFS names from the Sunshine State.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that these are the celebrities that Andrew Meadowcroft was referring to in his interview with the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Despite having some harsh words for the mystery Married At First Sight rejects, the PR guru insisted that not all reality TV stars are bad news.

‘There are some good ones like Felicity Egginton from Australian Survivor, Layla Subritzky from Big Brother and Zilda Williams from The Bachelor who are all darlings,’ he said.

Andrew also described Jessica Mauboy, Kylie Minogue, and Guy Sebastian as some of the most professional people he has ever worked with.

He was less kind when it came to a number of international A-listers – including Rihanna and Mariah Carey, who he labelled ‘demanding divas’.
