MAFS’ Ryan Gallagher likens ‘ex-wife’ Davina Rankin to Babe the pig

Ryan Gallagher has forgiven Dean Wells for his role in the Married At First Sight ‘cheating’ scandal, but not ‘ex-wife’ Davina Rankin.

He made that abundantly clear during his stand-up comedy debut at Yarraville Club last week, likening her to everyone’s favourite talking pig.

According to News Corp, he quipped: ‘Davina is not too bad, though she has her moods, but she is actually quite a Babe – have you seen the movie?’

It was quite clear to punters inside the venue that he was referencing Babe the pig, from the 1995 family movie of the same name.

The publication claimed his Davina jokes by far drew the biggest laughs during his set.

They also reported that none other than Dean – the man who embarked on the ‘affair’ with Davina – was sitting front and centre at the gig, laughing hysterically.

Charlene Perera, John Robertson, Telv Williams, Mat Lockett, and Patrick Miller were also in attendance.

John copped an old-age joke during the set, much to the pleasure of his cast mates.

‘I went to my first ever AFL football game on Thursday, 90,000 people were there. They put me in a stand called The Standing Room,’ Ryan began.

‘Now The Standing Room is a bunch of middle aged men… sorry John … who stand around and swear at each other and yell things at the football players.’

For the punchline, he shifted focus back to public enemy number one: ‘But I didn’t know any of the players’ names so I said, “F**k you Davina!”’

Ryan first announce his decision to chase a comedy career to News Corp last month.

‘I’ve always liked comedy. I want to have a go at stand-up. I don’t want to go back to what I did before,’ the tradie said.

‘I’m not that funny, so I might have to buy some jokes!’
