MAFS star Clare Verrall feels ‘sexy’ after 44kg weight loss

Married At First Sight’s Clare Verrall has dropped an astonishing 44 kilograms in just eight months.

And the beauty has now stripped down to a sexy black swimsuit for an upcoming issue of New Idea.

While Clare is not the lightest she’s ever been, she took to Instagram on Wednesday following her magazine shoot, proclaiming she’s never felt sexier or more confident.

Beneath a behind-the-scenes snap, Clare revealed that she shed her clothes for the shoot without feeling self-conscious.

She captioned: ‘Four years ago I was 15kgs lighter than I am now & would never EVER have been seen in the bikini on the beach, no way in hell I would have been comfortable enough in my own skin to pose for this week’ s @newideamagazine.

‘Cellulite, wobbly bits & all without feeling remotely body conscious….However, over the last 12 months I have learned to love the skin I am in. I am completely focused on being HEALTHY not a number on the scales.’

In her lengthy caption, self-confident blonde also took a swipe at her TV ‘ex-husband’, Jono Pittman, who is famous for remarking Clare wasn’t what he ‘ordered’.

She blasted: ‘I’m still bigger than I was not what my husband ‘ordered’ back when I was on MAFS. If a guy felt like that about my looks now I would be like, ‘boy bye’.

‘I feel much sexier & more confident in my skin now than I did back then. Body confidence really is all in your head,’ she concluded.

At the beginning of the year, Clare tipped the scales at 119 kilograms, and claimed she was too embarrassed to leave the house.

However, after working on her mental health, the star is now off anti-depressant medication and has prioritised healthy eating and exercise.

She enjoys a balanced diet of steamed vegetables, tofu, and salad, and keeps fit by taking her dogs for daily 15km walks.

And the beauty seems to be making the most of her new body, spotted flaunting her slimmer figure at various social events in Melbourne in recent weeks.
