Previous charges laid against Webb, Featherstone and most of their co-accused were dismissed during the hearing before new offences were brought.

Police began investigating the alleged cold-calling scheme in 2013, and allege Webb dishonestly gained a benefit for a number of companies between September 2012 and August 2014.

He is facing charges of fraud along with Kirsty Maria Lester, Patrik Rasmus Goransson and Charlie Mikael Gorannson.

Featherstone, his son Zach Michael Featherstone, Trouchet, Robert John Doueihi, Travis Charles Burch, Vincent Alexander McDonald, Douglas Owen Traynor and Natchamon Srisunanrat are charged with fraud and money laundering.

The matter will return to court on October 1.

Webb rose to fame after appearing on Channel Nine’s reality show juggernaut Married At First Sight this year.

The 35-year-old caused controversy after he dumped his ‘wife’ Tamara Joy for ‘villain’ Jessika Power on the show – only to end things with the star just weeks after the show ended in very public spat.

Last month, administrative worker Jessika launched a scathing attack on Dan, accusing him of being a ‘snake’.

During an Instagram Q&A, the 27-year-old was asked by a follower: ‘Who was the snakiest person on the show?’

‘I know that I did some pretty snaky things on the show,’ Jessika began.

‘But in the aftermath and with everything that I’ve seen, I would have to say that Dan was one of the snakiest people on the show!’
