And in light of The Project’s latest anti-bullying campaign, her father Bob Rankin has spoken out about his daughter receiving ‘hateful, vindictive and nasty comments.’
In a comment left on Lisa Wilkinson’s post promoting the ‘Speak, Even If Your Voice Shakes’ movement, Bob appeared to slam Channel Nine for prompting the bullying.

Instagram model Davina began being attacked by trolls and viewers of the show online not long after her debut in January.
She was criticised for being unkind to ‘husband’ Ryan Gallagher, and soon after received backlash for beginning a secret ‘relationship’ with co-star Dean Wells, who was ‘married’ to Tracey Jewel.
Bob, who appeared on-screen alongside Davina in her TV wedding in January, wrote: ‘We all talk about Bullying at school and in the work place but have we ever stopped to think about what contribution television has made to promote this as well?’
Without disclosing who he was in the comment thread, the angered father continued: ‘Just take a look at some of the comments made about contestants on current reality shows.’

He appeared to take aim at Channel Nine in the lengthy rant, adding: ‘The way they (reality stars) are edited to put that person in such a bad light, and their absolute failure to monitor the hateful, vindictive, nasty comments that people post on their Facebook pages.’
‘Governments could stop this practice but choose to sit on the side line and just talk about it, WE the people should demand action from our schools, our media, and our elected politicians, WE can make a change but it needs to start at the top,’ Bob pleaded.
The comment was ‘liked’ by others on the thread, but Project host Lisa did not respond.

No stranger to online trolls herself, Davina, 26, revealed last week that she was going to use her profile to combat the scourge of bullying.
Joining forced with children’s anti-bullying and inclusion charity I Can I Will, she told ABC: ‘I barely got out of this whole ordeal alive, I can’t even imagine what it would be like for younger boys and girls who have to deal with this alone.’
