Married At First Sight UK viewers were left ‘cringing’ as they watched awkward scenes between Amy Christophers and Jonathan Wileman during Sunday evening’s Christmas reunion episode.
The programme saw some of this year’s stars make a comeback for this weekend’s instalment while they were joined by a number of cast members from 2021’s series.
And, as Amy appeared to take a liking to Jonathan, viewers were reminded of some harsh comments he made during his season, with Jonathan saying he didn’t like people with ‘horse legs’ and: ‘I never personally want a girl that’s huge like body builder legs and a body builder body.’

Struggling to understand why Amy was eyeing-up Jonathan on Sunday’s show, one viewer wrote on Twitter: ‘It’s mad because Jonathan is saying he doesn’t like bigger girls but Amy is no stick insect (not that there’s anything up with her).’
Noting that Amy made a beeline for Jonathan right away, someone else wrote: ‘Amy came to the dinner on a mission and that mission was Jonathan. I like a girl who knows what she wants and how to get it.’
While another viewer noted: ‘Amy is thirsty AF. She would eat Jonathan alive.’

However, despite viewers concerns, Amy and Jonathan shared a kiss under the mistletoe later in the episode.

It comes after former show stars Dan Mckee and Matt Jameson announced they’d decided to split on Sunday after spending two years together.
Dan, 28, and Matt, 40, who married on the show and stayed together after filming, shared the sad news with their fans on Instagram.
The former couple confirmed that they were going their separate ways because they felt that they were ‘better off as friends’.

‘Break-ups are never easy, even when amicable, but we can’t thank you enough for your support and kindness following our journey together.’
However, even though the couple have split, Dan quickly reassured fans that there is no bad blood between him and Matt.
‘There’s nothing but love and good energy between us, and we feel very lucky to have found each other in our lives. Just sadly not as a couple! And although we are parting ways, we will always continue to support one another.’
Dan and Matt met on the show in 2021, and the couple got paired up by show experts Mel Schilling, Paul C Brunson, and Charlene Douglas.
