The Lost Daughter stars Dakota Fanning and Olivia Coleman, when a professor’s beach vacation suddenly turns dark when she confronts her past.

The professor meets a young woman and her daughter while vacationing in Italy and the duo sparks memories of the professor’s early motherhood.

The Independent Spirit Awards will resume in person in March 6, 2022, after the 2021 awards were held virtually due to Covid.

In order for a film to be considered for this award, the budget must be under $22.5 million.
