Majak Daw reveals he and partner Emily McKay are expecting a baby

AFL star Majak Daw reveals he and partner Emily McKay are expecting a baby – just four months after he suffered serious injuries in 25-metre plunge from a bridge

AFL star Majak Daw is expecting his first child with girlfriend Emily McKay.

The North Melbourne player announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday, just one day after he trained for the first time since falling 25 metres from the Bolte Bridge in December.

‘Baby Daw coming soon,’ he captioned a photo cradling his partner’s stomach.

Pretty happy about our lil friend that’s on the way. Baby Daw due this year,’ his his girlfriend Emily McKay posted alongside a picture of the pair

Ms McKay also spread the exciting news via her own Instagram page.

‘Pretty happy about our lil friend that’s on the way. Baby Daw due this year,’ she posted.

AFL’s first Sudanese-born player, 28, was cheered by teammates as he ran for the first time on Monday since suffering hip and pelvic injuries in the fall.

‘It’s my first running session. I’m pretty excited, I’m not going to lie,’ Daw said to the club’s website.

‘I’ve been waiting for this for so long. I couldn’t sleep last night because of this.’

‘Thank you to all those who have helped me tick this milestone off,’ Daw later posted.

More to come.
