‘Male Karen’ cops backlash for expletive-ridden video after criticising his Woolworths delivery driver for leaving shopping bags on the front lawn

  • An Australian shopper has criticised a Woolworths delivery driver on TikTok
  • He called out the driver for leaving shopping bags on his front lawn
  • In his mind the bags should have been carried up to the front porch
  • But not everyone agreed with his rant, with some labelling him a ‘male Karen’

A Woolworths customer has copped backlash from his online fans after heavily criticising a delivery driver for the way he left behind 10 bags of groceries.

The Australian shopper took to his TikTok account on Saturday after finding his supermarket delivery sitting on the front lawn of his house.

The problem appeared to be that the driver didn’t walk the groceries up his front stairs and leave them right by his door, something the man took significant issue with.

‘Look where Woolworths left the f***ing food the dirty dogs. Look at these people… couldn’t take it up the f***ing stairs,’ he began, showing the camera where his perfectly upright bags were left.

‘They always get told to take it up the stairs and then they always leave it down here. And now they’ve just left it on the grass. I wish I’d come out here before he left.’

At this point in the video his partner, who is standing next to the bags, asks him to stop swearing on camera.

‘Don’t swear, babe?’ he said. ‘F*** that… look what he did, just left it sitting in f***ing middle of the front of the front lawn.’

Later text appears in the video that reads: ‘I got $40 credit for the wife when I complained. He offered $20 but I made him give $40’.

Despite getting a form of refund the man’s followers were not impressed by his tirade.

‘What is the male Karen name?’ One person said.

‘Take it up the stairs yourself or go to the shops yourself,’ another said.

A third added: ‘Sounds like you’re the lazy guy.

The TikTok poster clarified that his wife’s ‘flat out’ with four boys and works as an occupational therapist. He runs his own business.

The family order two big shops twice a week which are delivered by Woolworths.

A Woolworths spokesperson said the drivers work hard to ‘distribute thousands of online orders to the highest standard every day.’

‘We encourage customers to contact our Customer Hub or local store team if they’re unhappy with their home delivery order,’ the spokesperson added.
