A teenager is fighting for life after falling from a balcony in Sydney’s west in front of shocked friends.

The 18-year-old fell from the window of an 11-storey apartment building along George Street, Parramatta, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The young man underwent a two-hour operation after suffering from significant head injuries.

The teenager is believed to have fallen 10 metres and was found on a landing under the apartment building, according to Daily Telegraph.

The incident happened about 12.45am and a number of emergency services arrived on the scene including four ambulances.

The man was rushed to Westmead Hospital and is in a serious condition.

NSW Police are investigating the incident further.
