The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Dinhwar Budhidat, is said to have killed his 27-year-old wife at their home on the 8900 block of Albert Road.

After fatally stabbing the woman, the man reportedly texted the woman’s cousin and told her that his wife was dead and that he had plans to kill himself, ABC 7 reports.

‘He texted me he killed her. He didn’t tell me how. Why me? Why’d he have to text me that? He’s such a damn coward,’ Budhidat’s cousin told the New York Daily News. ‘Why’d he have to do that to the poor girl?’

Officials are looking into the man’s involvement in the woman’s death.

Sources say that the two had an ongoing domestic violence history with the suspect getting arrested last summer for assault.

The couple got married in July but quickly developed issues.

‘Every relationship has problems,’ said Toolaram. ‘I just didn’t think the problems would be big enough to result in such violence.’

‘Every time you see a situation like this, the family members always say we never saw it coming, and I have the same answer. He’s the coolest, calmest funniest guy.’
